Ælbhe MacAkoren addresses the Sahren parliament

“On the matter of the concerns parliamina Dr. Brychlainn raised about the rapidly devolving situation in the colonies, fear nought, Gentlemen! The King’s staff are not body to pursue such a futile undertaking. But minding what I will soon outline, it is ill advisable to exclude ourselves from the enterprise other nations have utilised to acquire mastery of their own fate.

To the west the contrasting Zókseacha shares a border with us along the largest desert on the planet, presenting one third of the continent between our respective heartlands. To the north is a vast steppe, so unforgiving and absolute in its judgement that (apart from Shive) we have been the only centralised authority to survive there for a century now. Southward the Rhudbeal fortress still stands after centuries, and should it fall, a vast ocean still tosses marauders around for us to pick off at leisure.

But to the east; An unstable new republic, an apartheid police state, and a military Junta are entrenched right upon our largest cities and richest earth. And though certainly not the result of our recent ministers, Soir-Teachta is practically free loot for the cannibalistic hordes.

The time when Teachta stood still hoping not to be noticed, stood so flat in appearance as to be uncrushable by the foot of kerb are done for. It is a matter of national survival--

(“National salvation!”, a miscreant jokes)

That Aontas, now reinforced with a united Egercia and expansive Iroa, returns the Grestiyæch and Strelkiyæch underneath her horizon, to shield the innocent from the inequities of the rabid.

(“Slouvelni!”)

These people have made us suffer many great injustices since they seceded nearly a century ago. I certainly do not wish for ethnic conflict, yet we cannot allow the general belief that liberties can be taken against us which are not with others. We must demand Aontan nationals, goods, vessels, and the flag must be respected in that corner of the world as here.

(“Slouvelni!”)

As worldly things go, we mustn’t leave our area of interest, as long as we are secure in it. Our civilisation is among the oldest, we practice traditions older than the majority of the nations which seek our submission. It is abundantly clear Aontas may have no true friends but her components. She has outlived the ones who knew her in her prime. No! The only way she may survive is how she has survived so far; striking out to place as many federal republics between the core and the outside.

(loud applause)

We do not demand Guardianship of the world, but our ordained Blessings from the Stars.”
