The crowd outside the governor's mansion in Svarskia was at a boiling point. The guards stationed out front stood nervously, clutching their service weapons and scanning the crowd as smoke bombs, fireworks, and banners flew through the air. The situation in Svarskia had deterioriated rapidly in the past year, after the United States of Central Kafrica laid claim to the Grestinian homeland, the people of Skarskia were ripe with rebellion and intent to join their brothers on the other side of the border. Shouts of "we will be free!" and "Grestinians belong to Kafrica!" were thrown around, but the most common slogan: "Liberte! Egalite! Grestinite!" drowned out the rest. The people were not happy, having been sucked dry by the Imperial Union for decades, and yearned for the satisfaction of a state of their own. Nevermind that that state was owned by another nation - they wanted to be part of the Grestinian nation as a whole, and many in the crowd looked like they were willing to die for it. Someone was going to die for it today.
