The Struggle for the Union
In the years preceding the creation of the United States of Central Kafrica, the region was divided. A division that had stood for centuries, between New Grestin and Krome, between New Grestin and Middelkafrica. This line separated the ambitions of the eastern Kafrican states. From the 2050s, to the 2190s, attempts to bring Grestin under thumb had failed time and time again.
The late 2180s brought the government of the Stahl Sieg lead communist North Grestin to its knees, before they were bought out by the future President of Central Kafrica, Blimp Drimp. The sale angered the seeding Union’s nominal President, Rhonda Reguwu, who demanded that Drimp give the land to the newly formed Union. In a supreme court ruling, Drimp was commanded by the judge in December 2189 to relinquish his private land in North Grestin, and sell them to the state, or face arrest and seizure of his property.
Drimp would accept this court ruling and subsequently moved down south, to the town of Sopost, setting up his own political network among the Strelkan and SS elite. Planning to overtake the government of the Faucks free state and use it against the blooming Union to the north. This eventually led to the creation of the Strelkan Kroman National Workers Party in 2197.
In the 2198 Faucks election, Drimp campaigned for his party, on a platform of promise, a promise to run for President of Central Kafrica and admit the state to the Union. His selling point was that Grestin and Krome would’ve survived the 2090s if they were united, therefore, he shall, 110 years later, unite the former lands of the two accursed nations for their common defense.
In 2200, President Drimp took the Memorial House in Rinn, within the year, The Faucks Free state was admitted to the union, drawing ire from the constitutional alliance party's members in the senate. The Strelkan Kroman national workers party made its duty to ensure that the rights of Kafricans were protected at the expense of Kafrican minorities, such as the gender non conforming. Doing this in the wake of the transgender President Rhonda Reguwu, concerning activists that genocide was afoot in Kafrica once more.
In 2202 the Drimp administration carried out a joint military operation, with its sworn enemy Zokesia. Capturing the disgraced Syx Islander Effery Sexstein. Amidst the crisis of the 2202 Midterm elections where the incumbent party, Drimp’s party lost out immensely.
There was to be another crisis in 2203, in Svarskia, the shooting of Grestinians by the Strelkan elite. Prompting the Senate to hijack the executive branch, passing the 2203 Svarskian borders act, which put Drimp under threat by the Imperial Union.
2204, election year, President Drimp on the defensive. Tackling questions from the woke mob, the fraudulent voters of liberal Kafrica. After the disastrous debates, the axe fell in November. Drimp lost the election, bringing fire and peril to the Central Kafrican nation.
January Zth, 2205 he invaded Chikushinal and fled the country, setting up the Kafrican Patriotic Republic where his party once took its first victory. In Chikushinal half of the former Kafrican Army had been wiped clean, the other half claiming victory over the Zokesian SS coalition. This action meant to put the new administration in an unwinnable war against Drimp’s enemies.
The new President, Lilly Barrett, brought out of retirement the former President Rhonda Reguwu as her secretary of state. Allowing a seasoned hand to take reins of international diplomacy to secure the safety of important infrastructure in Diosca. The Senate approved a bumper budget for the military over 600 billion Rubbies. Meeting the threat of Drimp’s rogue army yearly.
The work of Rhonda Reguwu was not ignored by the administration, normalising relations with Zokesia within their first year and securing the defense of Diosca.
Now it is the end of 2205, 2206 lies ahead, another year's slog in southern Kafrica is likely while the state department sets out its goals to rebuild the national reputation. Democracy and Diplomacy will prevail. The dove on Reguwu’s shoulder is heavier than the eagle.
God Bless the United States of Central Kafrica.
