Acceleration of Grand Observatory construction and establishment of the SEA research bureau
Due to the discovery of a multitude of targets, including several stars fairly close to kerbol, the SEA has decided to move up the schedule for completion of the grand observatories, with the goal of having them completed by 2209-2210. The SEA also established the research bureau to manage other research programs into advanced propulsion and high-energy lasers after detection of continued extremely bright pulses were detected on the mun, consistent with tests of an advanced fusion engine, with the goal of getting such programs producing useful results as soon as is reasonably feasible in order to avoid falling behind technology-wise, and for future use in peaceful exploration programs.

Solar sails
Advanced fusion rockets
High-energy lasers
Design considerations for their usage
Project Vega
