SN Klensglean incident (Kamprazdnóir 8th, 2207)
While performing tests for new sensors and weapons systems near the tip of Mlorba the warship SN Klensglean (No.33) suffered a catastrophic explosion of unknown cause. This blast wrecked most of the forward superstructure whilst fires raged throughout the lower decks and torrents of water threatened to capsize the low-freeboard vessel. Nearby vessels were able to assist in firefighting and after 40 minutes of at-sea repair Klensglean got underway again.
The Sahren government refuses to give a concrete statement until the navy concludes its investigation, allowing rumours to spread like wildfire. news outlets have blamed everyone, from Suid-Kafrica to Svarskians to even domestic terrorists. The more levelheaded among them point out "Weapons testing" could indicate the whole incident was an accident, but the implication that 28 sailors died from their own fault is considered insulting to the rest and subsequently it gets buried.
