DESOVAN COAST GUARD NOTICE TO MARINERS

URGENT – ATTENTION ALL VESSELS

Operating in Southern Desovo and Northern Illishira coastal waters and nearby shipping lanes:

At 1723 hours local, Friday, during severe weather (Cyclone Distar), bulk ore carrier SV Bezhin (iron ore cargo, 22 crew) issued a MAYDAY and lost contact. Last AIS position: within 3 NM of shipping lane (Veiid AtoN NK3). No EPIRB activation detected. Conditions: >50 knot winds, >5m waves.

SEARCH STATUS:

– Surface vessels and aerial reconnaissance deployed from Veiidic Coastal Rescue at 0600L.

– No debris, oil slicks, or survivors found as of this bulletin.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL MARINERS:

  • Maintain heightened lookout for:

    • Wreckage or floating debris

    • Oil slicks or pollution

    • Persons in the water

– Report all sightings or relevant information IMMEDIATELY to Desovan Coast Guard:

• VHF Channel 16

• Nearest Coast Guard station

THIS BULLETIN REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL CANCELLED BY THE DESOVAN COAST GUARD AUTHORITIES.

DESOVAN COAST GUARD — UPDATE TO MARINERS

SV BEZHIN — ACTIVE SEARCH SUSPENDED

At 0932 hours local, a survivor of the SV Bezhin was recovered from a life raft approximately 7 NM south of the vessel's last known AIS position near Veiid AtoN NK3. Based on the survivor's preliminary account and the continued absence of further distress signals, debris, or pollution indicators, Desovan Coast Guard active search operations are being suspended effective immediately.
The search covered approximately 4,000 square kilometers over 90 hours and involved more than 400 Coast Guard personnel, assisted by the Solarian and Confederate Coast Guards.
Mariners transiting the affected area are requested to maintain a lookout for wreckage, debris, or pollution and to report any sightings to the Desovan Coast Guard via VHF Channel 16 or the nearest Coast Guard station.

THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES THE PRIOR NOTICE TO MARINERS REGARDING THE SV BEZHIN.
