2210 Presidential Inauguration
January 20th, 2210, 5 years following January Zth
It was once more a cold morning, the start of a new decade, the continuation of an era for Central Kafrica. The era of peace headed by the President in her second term. Standing at the podium in front of Memorial House in Rinn, Lilly Barrett and Jordynn Maldonado were sworn in by the secretary of state, the former President Rhonda Reguwu, the 2nd time she had been given the honor by the pair.
Moving to her acceptance speech, the President stepped aside, allowing for the Vice President to set out the policy goals of the administration in the forthcoming term. Within this was a request to Congress to approve a higher military budget, spurred on by the current “Dark world full of threats and pitfalls” continuing to warn the crowd, and the nation, that “War could happen upon our soil at any moment, we must be ready and waiting to respond with the roars of lions untold.”
To achieve this new goal, the United States of Central Kafrica must adapt, moving funds away from the Kafrican Space Program which has continued unimpeded, we have put probes in orbit of Jool, we have landed Kerbals on the Mun. But now we must settle down and focus, therefore under a proposal made in the dying days of her first term, the Vice President, head of the black water council of Kafrica. Proposed a move away from the Munar program as a temporary measure, replacing it with the venerable Janet IB, launching crew into low Kerbin orbit, to meet a space outpost. The outpost will be converted from a J-IVB upper stage and turned into a Kerbal Laboratory, studying the star at the center of our system. Calling it “Molorblab” and admitting it will need to be launched on a slightly modified Janet V launch vehicle. However this shift will fund the military’s need, and the nation’s need. For defense.
God Bless the United States of Central Kafrica.
