Mureșean-Zochescu engineers succesfully test new massive turboshaft engine
Engineers from the Mureșean-Zochescu Design Bureau have announced that they succesfully tested a new turboshaft engine, derived from the MuZ-175 which powered the LV-700 Super Ajax. The MuZ-175 was a three-bladed contra-rotating turboshaft engine. This new engine, featuring six blades and the same contra-rotating configuration, has been reported of lifting nearly 400 tons, 200 tons more than the previous design. This engine was designed as part of an order from Austral Aerospace, who have been developing an ultra heavy lift VTOL aircraft to exceed the capabilities of the Super Ajax.
