March 23rd, 2211 - After nearly a decade of unrest, violence, and turmoil, the People's Republic of Taiala has exploded into regional violence. The unpopular government for the past decade has been in power since Zokesia's capture of the Taialan Premier in 2200, and despite promises of UIF intervention and assistance, no monetary aid ever came. The Laveskans living in the western sections of the country packed up, left their homesteads and moved out, and waves of Dorvic immigrants flooded the nation in hopes of handouts following the promise of UIF aid. As it stands, nearly 150,000 new refugees have taken up camp in the south and west of the nation, drawing ire from the Algizan population of the east.

In the capitol city of Aaigu, Government troops and pro-democracy protesters clashes turned violent, turning the peaceful protest into a violent riot. Nearly 50% of the capitol was burned by rioters, and the small Taialan People's Guards were overwhelmed quickly. The rioters stormed the Premier's residence, and after a brief show trial, executed him and his wife on the capitol steps with a gunshot to the back of the head. The new "Democratic People's Taialan Government" as they refer to themselves have vowed to bring universal healthcare and living wages to all peoples of the nation. As a result, even more refugees have began crossing into Taiala, most of ill repute. Violence broke out in the countryside as well, with some Laveskan and Algizan families being brutally raped and killed by Dorvic refugees, who have been seen squatting in former farmhouses and declaring them communes.

Despite the promise of reform, both the Confederacy and the UIF have turned a blind eye to Taiala for nearly a decade, and as a result the people of the nation turn against one another - a nation of Dorvic, Laveskan, and Algizan peoples now at each other's throats, with no plan for peace in sight.

Rimel Kartac has announced his intent to write a novel called The Camp of the Dorvics inspired by these events.

"A million poor dorvics, armed only with their weakness and foreign import AFVs, overwhelmed by misery, encumbered with starving Xourao and Kafrican children, ready to disembark on our soil, the vanguard of the multitudes pressing hard against every part of the tired and overfed Laveska. A problem absolutely insoluble by our enlightened moral standards. To let them in would destroy us. To reject them would destroy them."
