1. Nuvastian's activate the CRTC, known as the "Rift Core"

Somewhere on an undisclosed location within Nuvastia, Nuvan scientists under huge military funding has been experimenting with a new energy source generator that could lead to leaps into inexhaustible power. The research program initially started as some sort of new energy source project, speculations include something close to fusion or some unknown and untapped ethereal plane.

Early prototypes of the machine has been fired up, they were partially successful at low powers, and Nuvans were able to extract energy from it using specialized fuel. It needed containment fields to enclose the center of the energy generation device.

Though at higher energies, the Nuvan scientists noted that the core of the machine showed unstable properties, they detected energy anomalies and recorded small scale earthquakes on site. This was a completely an unexpected event, they investigated more regarding this incident.

The scientists may have stumbled upon something beyond what they expected. At first, data analysts were dumbfounded what their instruments are recording and what the gathered data was showing.

They managed to pierce something completely unknown, and the data gathered supports their theories regarding new ethereal understanding. This is now something beyond the current understanding of the world and could potentially revolutionize the world.

2. Continuum Rift Transfunctioner Core (CRTC)

The Nuvastians managed to stabilize the CRTC machine otherwise known as the "Rift Core" then powered it up to higher energies with a reinforced containment field. Then they proceeded to experiment by sending non-organic material and organic material into the center of the machine. Various materials, probes and live animal tests were conducted which all vanished inside the center leaving no trace at all. Then an unnamed volunteer was selected to be placed into it, which also vanished.

Speculations from the Scientists cannot be substantiated due to the impossibility of the event despite educated guess where the objects placed go to.

Research and development continues along with power generator projects based off the stable design at lower powers.

3. Nuvastia vanishes through the rift

In a secured undisclosed bunker control center in Nuvastia, a couple of scientist operators are seated inside a heavily protected enclosure somewhere beneath a mountain range deep beneath the ground. The enclosure is filled with computers, screens, and various instrumentations showing different data completely almost alien-like in nature to the uninitiated. An important event is currently being undertaken, they are about to load a live probe-bomb into the CRTC (Continuum Rift Transfucntioner Core) to see its effects.

Meanwhile a shady group of various important individuals are currently watching from the back as these events take place right before their eyes. These Nuvastians are about to witness something supernatural. The CRTC was powered up just like on a regular test day on the field, and its kept on humming on hold seemingly stable as expected, they have done this countless times.

Scientists 1: “We need to completely resynchronize the quantum reality shift propulsor.”

Scientist 2 proceeds to press a couple of controls on a computer and after a few seconds while reading displayed data, says. "It's done"

Scientist 3: “There's an slight power spike in the Amoz gamma-wave housing. I'm going to scrap the delta-wave propulsor, but other than that everything is nominal”

Scientists 1 then looks to everyone, "We are about to load this probe-bomb into the core to see if it will affect anything on the other side" then presses a control.

The CRTC machine then activates its loading mechanism as it raises a rod that is used to carry payload being inserted into the center of the machine. As the probe-bomb enters the machine, the CRTC vibrates uncontrollably...

Scientist 3: “There's a surge in the Amoz radiation dorsal shifter. We need to connect up the tritonic quantum shift drive plates and there's also a slight variance in the graviton containment field. I need to realign the particle fragmentor.”

Computer beeps in the background while spouting sounds, lights and displays out a list of warnings: Anomalous warp portal energy core energy signature detected... tritonic-wave calibrator is offline... Purging primary systems and booting up auxiliary bipolar controllers.

Scientist 4: “There's a control malfunction in the energy core, and a series of nano-wave pulse signatures in the nuclear power driver” as he said to everyone while sitting in the dark background heavily concerned as he focused on a console.

Scientist 1: "Seems like the computer is taking care of the unstable fluctuations and anomalies. We will continue with the probe-bomb activation" he signals the other scientists to continue

Scientist 2: "I'm arming the probe-bomb, countdown 10 seconds" he presses a key and and turns it clockwise for activation. A large countdown display was shown accompanied with alarm sounds for the timer.

The anxious audience in the background watches intently as the countdown begins until it reached zero. A bright flash of light happened as they watch trough a large screen observing the entire experiment, a sort of combined explosion and implosion happened at the center of the machine. The machine transported the probe-bomb as it exploded right as it was entering some sort of new dimension warp energy portal.

Then the machine hummed normally for a few minutes, nothing happened. The Scientists were looking at the data in their computers, seemingly unsurprised.

Scientist 3: "Sir, I'm reading off the chart spikes in energy generation"

Scientist 1: "Can you confirm his reading"

Scientist 2 and 4: "Yes, our readouts are correct"

Scientist 1: "Power down the machine now"

The scientists pressed a series of controls to slowly power down the machine down to a halt. No trace of the probe-bomb or fragments was seen on the machine as displayed on an observation screen, meaning it went into the warped energy ether as expected.

Scientist 1 faces the audience that was watching and says, "This experiment was a success, we have gathered our data and research material and we will be crunching it as promised"

In a sudden unexpected moment, as everyone on the audience was doing a standing ovation to the experiment operators a wild earthquake happened. Then as everyone was smiling and clapping the very light that was touching their skins were melting into a unexplainable fractal visual nightmare. Everyone can see every light particle seemingly forming fractal designs and melting together but at the same time being sucked into the direction of the center of machine they just recently deactivated.

The Scientists were utterly surprised as their whole environment melted right before their eyes yet they cannot feel any pain as if nothing is happening and its all an illusion. They desperately touched their bodies and limbs to test, but they can feel like its normal. They can touch their extremities but what they are seeing is different on where their hands are feeling and where they were supposed to be.

Then a fluctuating sphere from white to black and back again appeared in the center of the turned off machine and a bright unnerving flash happened for the second time, everything in the Nuvastian mainland is gone vanished in blink of an eye leaving no trace.

4. A flicker...

A couple of months have passed on Kerbin.. The open rich lands south of KOLUS lies earilly quiet. The calm and serene southern seas continues to flow in magnificent waves. The nations of the world once witnessed a well known nation vanished in thin air as if it never existed in the blink of an eye. Lands were left empty without any trace of the people's existence. Then a gust of unnatural wind flows through its empty space as if unaffected by established surrounding weather patterns followed by an earth shattering earthquake that could be felt for miles along its borders.

A flickering white and black light started to emerge from a single point somewhere in the deserted lands until it covered the entire region with its blinding luminous apparition. Nuvastia and everything in it started to materialize out of nothing, fractal shapes emerging from white and black pattern started to materialize and colorize in the entire region, in a split quantum second the Sovereignty is back on once where it stood proudly.

Frozen objects both living and non-living things resumed motion and life as if it was previously paused in time. The Nuvastian Sovereignty is back! But the Rift brought along something with it unseen, something that will change things forever.
