GREATER COMBERTH; May 11th, 2212. /IBC/.

Earlier today, Irsmuncast's long standing state owned and controlled broadcast service TAIC has released footage of the destruction of a SEA deep space sensor station in deep space around Jool. The video, only a few seconds long, appear to show the destruction of a SEA controlled sensor and replenishment station around the lagrange point L1 of Jool. It is unclear as of yet if this is the result of sabotage or a military attack, but the lack of activity and lifepods abroad the station suggest the former is a significantly more likely possibility. The Irsmuncast government, still reeling from the recent war that devastated the Veiidic continent has declined the IBC's request to comment on the attack.

Public Response

Governments around the world have rapidly come together in condemning this attack on a civilian asset in space. Following are extracts from various world leaders commenting on the matter:

"This attack is an umprompted, unjustified attack on the spatial integrity of the Solari Extraplanetary Administration. We urge the world to stand fast against the aggression that this act represents." - Secretary of State Rhonda Reguwu of the United States of Central Kafrica

"The world cannot stand by and idly watch as a barbaric act of terrorism of this scale is carried out against one of the world's most peaceful entities." - President Keretse Korovin of the Voley Union

Amateur historians have pointed out quite quickly that these images originate from the Imperial Reclamation's space battles around Kerbin orbit, circa 2147. Can the credibility of these claims be verified?

The SEA government is confused, no such station ever existed in its records and other SEA installations look nothing like the one depicted.
