Zokesian Spy Plane crashes in Aontas
ZOKESIAN NEWS NETWORK - 8 June 2214 -
Reports have come in of a Zokesian RZ-20B spyplane that has crashed in Aontas today. Its pilot, Major Robert "Bob" Qurrman, has been confirmed killed. The aircaft departed around 8:45 AM on a routine training flight from Chikushinal to Sur-Krakain when, shortly after takeoff, it began flying erratically and communications with ATC were lost. The Confederate Transportation Safety Bureau is investigating, but until Aontan authorities allow them into the nation to investigate the cause remains unknown. The RZ-20B is a high altitude weather and observation aircraft flown by the Zokesian Royal Air Force, and can reach altitudes of over 16,000m.
The Zokesian government has denied any intentions of espionage and have published a statement reporting the planned flight path of the aircraft and the nature of its mission as being one for training purposes only.
"The accident is being investigated as a potential terrorist act, as the pilot flew directly into known foreign airspace and made no attempts to correct when hailed multiple times by ATC. The Zokesian Royal Air Force maintains a high standard of excellence and such deviations will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
