Feb 16th, 2217 - President Maximilian I Vikus-Ward has taken to the Confederate State Assembly at Die Volkshalle Nationalversammlung Konföderierten, Ezekialgrad, Zokesia, following reports of violations of Article 103.2.7 of the Articles of Confederation.

"The information provided to me has just been made public by the Zokesian Intelligence Agency. As I understand it, for the past year and a half, the Nuvastian Government has been secretly developing an Artificial Intelligence supercomputer in the state research institute, in direct violation of Article 103 of the Articles of Confederation, whereby all artificial intelligence and machine learning is banned in the Confederacy of Kolus. As a result..."

There is some commotion around the room, as guards from either side of the assembly hall work their way through the hundreds of officials twoards the Nuvastian contingent. Agitated members of the assembly roar in protest or plead for forgiveness as the guards descend upon the Nuvastian contingency.

"...I hereby declare, by the powers authorized me by Article 21.2 and the De Jure authority as Commander in Chief of the Zokesian Air Force, the government representatives of the Sovereignty of Nuvastia are hereby charged with High Treason, arrests to be made effective immediately. Furthermore, the Confederate State Assembly is suspended until further notice, as by my right to invoke emergency powers are also effective immediately."

As Maximilian turned to leave the room, the uproar was so deafening no one heard the club strikes that erupted from the room as guards apprehended the Nuvastian officials, some willingly, some less so. The confederate national assembly, the law and order of the Kolus continent, was now one big tavern brawl. The man who started it walked away, removing his gloves quietly. "The die is cast."
