The Nuvastians were a hardy people, born and raised on the rugged planet of Kerbin. They had spent generations taming the wild frontiers of their home world, and were now ready for a new challenge. The call came from the depths of space, from a small rocky moon orbiting their planet. Mun, it was called, and it was rich in ore and minerals. The Nuvastians knew that this moon would be their next great frontier.

The Nuvastians were determined. They built sturdy ships, equipped with the latest technology, and set out into the void. As they approached the moon, they could see its surface, pockmarked with small craters and littered with boulders. But it was the seven major craters that caught their attention, they knew that these would be the key to unlocking Mun's secrets.

Landing on the airless surface of the mun was not easy, but the Nuvastians were skilled pilots and they managed to safely touch down on the rocky terrain. They stepped out of their ships, their suits protecting them from the harsh vacuum, and looked around in awe they knew that they had a great task ahead of them.

The Nuvastians began to explore their new home, venturing into the small craters and mining the ore and minerals that lay beneath the surface. They built their first colony on the edge of one of the major craters, using the resources they had gathered to construct a small base. They worked hard and soon the colony began to thrive. The Nuvastians were proud of what they had accomplished, they had claimed a new world for themselves and their people.

As the years passed, the Nuvastians expanded their colony, building new mines and outposts across the surface of Mun. They explored the major craters and discovered that they were rich in valuable resources. The Nuvastians had truly made Mun their own, and their colony became a symbol of their determination and resilience. They had accomplished what no one thought possible and they were proud to call Mun their new home.

From the small rocky moon of Mun, the Nuvastians looked back at their home planet of Kerbin, and knew that they had done something truly great. They had colonized a new world and had opened up a whole new frontier for their people. The Nuvastians were a proud and strong people, and they knew that they would continue to push the boundaries of what was possible. They were the pioneers of a new age, and they would not be stopped.

Some prominent areas of Mun and Points of Interest:

New Nuvast City: The first colony established by the Nuvastians on Mun, located near the largest crater on the moon.
Ore Field 1: A large deposit of valuable ore located near largest craters on the Mun, this area is heavily mined by the Nuvastians.

Munar/Munian Observatory: A state-of the art observatory and research station built on the surface of Mun by Nuvastians to study the planet. It provides a clear view of the stars and other celestial bodies and surrounding systems and to study the effects of low gravity on Mun's smaller companion moon, Minmus.
High Altitude Observatory: a research facility perched atop one of the highest peaks in the Munar Mountains, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding terrain and the planet Kerbin.

Mining Complex: A complex built by the Nuvastians to extract the valuable resources from the moon and to process it.
Old Munar Mines: An abandoned mining colony that was set up by a previous exploration mission, now a popular spot for relic hunters.

Northern Polar Plateau: An elevated plain that is located near the North pole, offering a great view of the planet Kerbin and Minmus.
Northern Basin:

Mysterious Ruins: A mysterious ruin of an unknown ancient civilization that is on the Munar surface, now buried under layers of dust and debris, yet to be explored and studied by scientists.

The "Munar Crater Field": a vast expanse of impact craters caused by centuries of meteorite bombardment.
Midland Craters "Mediterraneus":
Mons Taurius: the high peaks on the Mun, towering over the surrounding terrain at over at kilometers high offering spectacular views of the surrounding terrain.
Montes Rima: A chain of mountains, a popular spot for rock climbers and hikers.
The Munar Mountains: a range of jagged peaks that rise up to kilometers above the surface, offering stunning views of the surrounding terrain.

Highland Craters:
East Crater
East Farside Crater: One of the prominent craters connected to a large canyon system
East Farside Highlands:
East Farside Canyon "Valles Secare": A massive canyon system on the Mun. A massive canyon system that cuts deep into the surface of Mun.
Mun Caves:A network of underground caves and passages on Mun, they are known for their unique mineral formations and crystal structures.
Farside Crater:
Farside Highlands:
Valley of the Shadows: a mysterious and foreboding valley that is always shrouded in darkness due to its location on the side of the Munar moon facing away from Kerbin.

Twin Craters: Craters with high concetration of mineral deposits of varying types.
Southwest Crater: A massive impact crater located near the south pole, revealing the ancient geological history of Mun.

Upper Midlands: Vast areas on the northern hemisphere mostly explored.
Lower Midlands: Vast areas on the sounthern hemisphere barely explored.

Great Wall:A towering wall of rock that is found near the Northern Basin of the Mun, this formation is a popular destination for tourists.
Munar Ice Lake: A small, shallow crater filled with frozen water just beneath the rocky surface, a rare sight on the airless Mun. Located in the middle of large regions of permafrost that contain frozen water and are believed to have other volatile compounds.
Munar Rille: a winding canyon-like feature that stretches over kilometers across the southern hemisphere.

The first location established by the Nuvastian colonists on Mun is "New Hope Base", located near the largest major craters. This base serves as the main hub for mining operations and serves as the main point of contact for supplies and communication with Kerbin. The base includes living areas for the colonists, research facilities, power plants, and landing pads for spacecraft.

The second location established is "Prospector's Point", located on the rim of one of the smaller craters. This location is dedicated to prospecting and surveying for new mineral deposits. The site includes a drilling rig, a laboratory for analyzing samples, and living facilities for the prospecting team.

The third location is "Vault City", which is an underground city built in one of the smaller craters. The city serves as a safe haven for the colonists in case of solar storms, meteor impacts, or other emergencies. The city includes living quarters underground, a power plant, a water treatment facility, and a communication center.

The fourth location is "Outpost Delta", which is a remote research station located on the far side of Mun. The station is dedicated to studying the geology and geophysics of the moon. The station includes living quarters for the researchers, a laboratory for analyzing samples, and a telescope array for observing the stars.

Finally, "Crater Station" is a base located on the rim of one of the smaller craters. This base serves as a supply hub and refueling station for spacecraft traveling to and from Mun. The station includes a landing pad, a fuel depot, and a repair facility for spacecraft.

All these locations and points of interest are interconnected by a network of roads and rail lines, allowing the colonists to move easily between the different settlements and mining sites.
