Special Cabinet for Foreign Relations Marina Petrenko has announced to members of the press that a new trade deal has been signed by Prime Minister Ana Berislav and Apex Milo Mazdok. This deal facilitates lessened trade restrictions between the nations, as well as government supervised transfer of luxury goods to Ikonia in exchange for food to supplement Novenad's rapid industrialization.
Marina Petrenko stated in her announcement that she hopes "this to be the beginning of more cooperation between our nations moving forward."
Apex Milo Mazdok extends his thanks to Novenad for sharing their highly esteemed industry with Ikonia, and expresses his hope that trade will continue into the future. Despite many in Ikonia being critical of Mazdok's reversal of isolationist policy, the Apex continues to push many more liberal economic policies.
When critics called for a return to more traditional policies, Apex Mazdok responded. "This stuff doesn't come cheap" he observed, referring to the Omnichronicratic dome behind him. "You know what else isn’t traditional? Becoming rich. I'm done watching the world pass us by while we whisper to ourselves and worship ancient doorknobs. It's time to catch up."
