2202 Central Kafrican midterm election report

Post by Evie »

It is late november, Kafricans have gone to the polls and decided the future of the senate, from the Free State of Faucks to the District of Bown, the fires of debate come to a close, the grazing of pencils on ballot sheets in two fell swoops began. The main story of this election has been the letter, leaked by Zokesia, that indicated Candidate Lilly Barrett’s feelings on the Drimp administration, that they were attempting to sell out the entire state for a profit. It was expected up until this point that the state’s election would be a straightforward affair, however following this breaking story, news outlets across the country investigated, it is the work of journalists that has created a crisis for Memorial House. A crisis that has been blamed for Lilly’s commanding victory over the incumbent SKNWP candidates who were parachuted into the job upon the state’s ascension into the Union.

The Drimp administration called her letter the signature of a traitor, directing the Central Kafrican Intelligence Service to investigate her relating to tip-offs of a plot to murder President Drimp, however that couldn’t stop her from winning the election, with a commanding vote of 56% relative to the incumbent SKNWP candidates getting a vote of 42.5%. After the vote was announced, Drimp released the following statement:

Moving upwards to the northern district of Faucks the SKNWP saw even more trouble, with the candidates for the Constitutional Alliance Party, winning both available seats in the district. At 3 on the morning of November 9th, when these votes were announced, it became apparent that the SKNWP had lost its control of the houses of government. Throughout the night, the next region to announce the results of their election was the District of Bown.

In the District the campaign had been bogged down with the debates on the issue of the Federal Executive order, which was signed on Drimp’s first day in office that limited the rights of gender non-conforming Kerbals in Central Kafrica. This in the absence of the presidential party, the SKNWP declining to run a candidate in the area, focusing on the wider state of Samwell. Expectedly at 4:30 in the morning, the ballots had been counted, and confirmed, Max Hughes remained as the representative in the Senate for the District of Bown, where he will continue to . In contrast to the wave of CAP election victories, Samwell would be an outlier this night, after promises from Vice President Moat Boat, that should the candidate for the Strelkan Kroman National Worker’s Party be elected in their state, that the President will sign an executive order, redistributing aid packages to the State as opposed to the “liberal scourge” of Bown. It is the first time since Samwell ascended to the Union in 2191, through the first election that the Universal Agrarian Coalition has lost an election in either house in the state.

Moving to the west, with the State of Comer, usually described as a swing state, saw an expected shift slightly to the right, with the Patriot Patriot Front gaining an uptick in votes relative to the last election, however the steadfast Jordynn Maldonado took victory in the Northern District of the state, dedicating her election victory to the “great terrors” of the Drimp administration’s aggressive policy on our allies, causing fear and uncertainty in the nation, this came among the constant news of Immigration enforcement deporting Solarians back across the border, regardless of their documentation status, a story that had been suppressed by Drimp’s state media executive orders.

In the Southern District of the state, the story was far simpler, being the homeland of the first President, Rhonda Reguwu, who insisted her protege run this year, Phoebe Dean of Thiar would win her election Primary within the Constitutional Alliance Party, partially because she pledged to “run anyway, with the support of my great life mentor” despite the relatively done-deal nature of this election in the district, it was a close vote, with the Strelkan Kroman National Worker’s Party candidate, Vance Spencer, getting 48% of the vote, to Phoebe’s 49.5%.

At 5am, the deal was done, the houses have been lost, the Drimp Administration will find the next, or last, two years of its term more difficult.

God Bless the United States of Central Kafrica.
