This new SSTO is a part of Hearthia's latest drive to gaining a foothold amongst the stars.

Tragically when on approach to landing, the newly named "Expedition class" SSTO collided with a different, unnamed prototype that had overrun the runway on its own landing attempt. The resulting crash led to the complete destruction of the Expedition and the death of its brave test pilot. The "Untitled Spacecraft" and its crew were unharmed.

Despite the crash, the Expedition SSTO was successfully able to reach its parking orbit and return to the Runway within 40 minutes. The validation flight was deemed a success and the full production of a fleet of the airframe will begin next year.
