As usual a stressful evening in the Timmori Military Facilities, phones ringing while countless ships request permission to approach the civilian port that is within the vicinity of one of the 2 militarized ports of Frigonia.
The unforgiving harsh climate makes it so maintaining 2 ports that are close to each other is a lot more cheaper as the now dead former ministry of defense called it but its just a bunch of extra work for us workers, why do i have to hear the constant ringing of calls from civilians?
On the other side my job isn't that hard compared to the people responding to civilian vessels, as if anybody in their right mind would try and bring a military from the frozen ocean.
Just as i thought that the room was finally calming down, the calming atmosphere was shattered by an unscheduled call.
Never would I have thought that this was the first of many such calls for the many of us.
......
Officer
-Sir, we got a call from the surveillance contractor, its about the pinpoint strike project for Skaros Fold.
Timmori Chief
-What did they say is there any progress, can we finally pull this operation and get over with it?
Officer
-They reported extremely suspicious military activity near the shores of Skarosburk.
Timmori Chief
-What? What suspicious activity, who in their right mind would try to go through that ice ocean?
Officer
-It appears that two large cargo ships successfully approached the land and deployed several armored vehicles alongside soldiers, it has been stated that the size of the deployment nearly approaches three brigades alongside infrastructural equipment. There have also been reports of aerial vehicles but we have not gotten any response from any radar that's deployed near the area nor has any AWACS that's currently deployed reported a bogey.
Timmori Chief
-....
Officer
-What will the next action be?
Timmori Chief
-Call the president.
Officer
-What should we tell him?
Timmori Chief
- .... There will be chaos for a while.
I think I will be extra busy for a while... I knew should have quit when I had the chance.
Within 24 hours the roars of engines shattered the silence of the frozen plains that has probably not been touched in the last decade.
As heavy tracks of artillery and tanks crush the thick layers alongside the loud clunking of metal , making the hardest of snow and ice look like cotton.
Trucks carry tons of supplies alongside soldiers while the slipping of wheels can be heard from Sam sites.
The sound of propellers slicing the air violently fills the ears of those who are close even as the huge AWACS's turn into dots in the sky.
The engines of jets warm up , ready to taxi at any moment while armaments hang silently under the huge shadow of their wings.
Soldiers loudly talk while eating their lunches and drinking hot tea or coffee, while a good proportion of them are busy setting up tents for them to stay before any further orders arrive.
Most were told that they'll only stay for a few days, while the reality of that statement is still unknown , people tend to prepare for the worst.
