They came to us, they had good intentions.
They did not want to harm us anymore.
We could be close with them , we could benefit from them.
The fist they raised once to silence , turned into hands reaching for a handshake.
For what could you want more than this?
Every handshake became a promise.
Every promise became a wish.
Every wish became a lie.
For how did you forget the cries of your children?
How could you forget the corpses o your friends?
They showed you your friend , your own blood.
And said that it was your enemy.
What did you do?
You killed your friends.
With your own hands.
With your own will.
Their faces frozen in time.
The past has been long done.
Impossible to change.
Impossible to forget.
The faces of frozen corpses etched onto your mind.
Why did you accept that handshake,
Knowing that it had a punch behind it?
Relationships became demands.
Demands became orders.
Safety was long forgotten.
Left for their whims.
Remember child remember,
For you shall remember the screams of those frozen faces,
Etched onto your ears forever for you to remember.
Is it too late or is it not?
So rise you fool, rise!
For how shall you know?
Slap the hand that only gives promises.
What if it becomes a fist again?
Bite the tongue that only speaks lies.
What if it starts promising again?
Break the shackles that you put on yourself.
For your family shall not come back.
