The Imperial Union acknowledges receipt of your correspondence. We approached this negotiation table in good faith, prepared to rectify what amounted to a minor diplomatic misstep. We offered pragmatic solutions designed to ensure mutual security and de-escalate tensions.
However, the counter-offer presented by your administration has shifted this discourse from a reasonable settlement into a vindictive and deeply unbecoming display of geopolitical extortion.
Diplomacy requires a foundation of mutual respect and realism. Central Kafrica’s demands, ranging from dictating the domestic policies and territorial integrity of the Imperial Union (namely, the absurd suggestion of a referendum regarding the Dominion of Westray) to demanding apologies on behalf of third-party nations, represent an unprecedented and unacceptable overreach. Furthermore, utilizing a diplomatic dispute to demand exorbitant payouts to a private defense contractor (Samwell Mechanized Industries) fundamentally undermines your stated goal of continental security.
The Imperial Union will not be coerced, nor will we entertain demands that infringe upon our own sovereignty and domestic affairs. We are willing to resolve this dispute before your November deadline, but only if negotiations return to the realm of reality.
Therefore, the Imperial Union formally rejects your previous terms and issues the following counter-offer:
• Financial Restitution: The Imperial Union rejects the exorbitant demand of 30,000,000 funds directed to a private military corporation. Instead, as a final gesture of goodwill to close this matter, the Imperial Union offers a single, direct payment of 5,000,000 funds to the state treasury of the United States of Central Kafrica to help a struggling economy in which we don’t want to see a population suffer.
• Maritime Security and Exercises: We outright reject any attempt to restrict the lawful movement of the Imperial Navy in international waters. Rather than establishing zones of ambiguity or unilateral restrictions, the Imperial Union proposes joint naval exercises between our respective forces. This will foster transparency, build operational trust, and directly address the calculus of armed conflict you previously expressed concerns over.
• The Svarskia Question: We note the addendum placed on behalf of Suid-Kafrika. The proposition that the Imperial Union would simply hand over the colony of Svarskia to be "unionized" under Suid-Kafrikan control is entirely detached from reality and is unequivocally denied.
To address regional stability, however, the Imperial Union is prepared to offer joint basing rights at a designated port city in Svarskia. This arrangement will ensure shared oversight of the eastern bay and guarantee security for all regional actors without absurd territorial concessions.
