The Imperial Capital Declaration on Global Security
PREAMBLE
We, the undersigned sovereign nations and coalitions, acting in unified defense of global stability, liberty, and the sovereign rights of all nations on Kerbin, do hereby issue this joint declaration.
It is the fundamental duty of the international community to preserve peace and to deter those who would seek to dismantle it through intimidation, force, or the threat of conquest. Over recent months, the State of Basil has engaged in an unprecedented, unprovoked, and total military mobilisation. It has converted its civilian economy into an unchecked engine of war.
Furthermore, this rapid and aggressive militarisation is no longer confined to Basil's own borders. We have observed, with grave concern, the massive and destabilising transfer of Basil-manufactured military equipment and armaments across the oceans to the regimes of Irsmuncast and Sarkizya.
This coordinated stockpiling of weaponry and the deliberate arming of subservient proxies can only be interpreted as the logistical groundwork for global conflict. It is a direct and existential threat to the balance of power on Kerbin.
We will not subsidise the machinery of our own destruction. We will not allow the wealth, resources, and trade of free nations to be used to fuel a forge intended for global domination.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Effective immediately, the undersigned nations and coalitions formally enact a comprehensive economic and diplomatic embargo against the State of Basil, Irsmuncast, and Sarkizya.
ARTICLE I: Cessation of Trade
All commercial trade, including the export and import of civilian goods, raw materials, industrial machinery, and agricultural products, with the embargoed states is hereby suspended.
ARTICLE II: Financial Freeze
All state-owned assets belonging to Basil, Irsmuncast, and Sarkizya held within the financial institutions of the undersigned nations are frozen. All cross-border financial transactions, banking services, and capital investments involving the embargoed states are immediately halted.
CONCLUSION
We take these measures not out of a desire for conflict, but as a resolute and necessary defense of peace. The era of unchecked appeasement has ended. We call upon all other free and civilised nations of Kerbin to recognise the severity of this gathering storm, to sever their ties with this axis of aggression, and to add their signatures to this declaration.
This embargo shall remain absolute and unyielding until the State of Basil and its allied nations verifiably reduce their combined military size to 100 million active personnel or less. Until such demobilisation is confirmed, our borders and our markets remain closed to them.
