Hearthia Announces intentions to leave the KC

In the last 24 hours, Hearthia has been dragged into a war we were not prepared for.

We are currently being used as a platform to launch strikes on our neighbor Sarkyzia by our current allies in the KC

We were not informed of these strikes until Solarian fighters started landing at our bases to refuel.

Our Army stands in Reserve, assured that war would not be upon us for another year at least.
The KC KNEW THIS yet did not send their own armies to defend Hearthia from retaliatory strikes, raids, and the inevitable invasion from Sarkyzian forces.

Because of this blatant disregard for our security, we will be leaving the KC as it no longer provides us with the support and security that we need.

The Kolusian Commonwealth acknowledges and respects Hearthia's decision to leave the KC.

KC wishes to clarify that we have received, in our understanding, that the Hearthean president has given explicit permission to cooperate with all KC operations. However, we do understand that misunderstandings may happen and we wish to minimise any such situations and mitigate results of such misunderstanding. The need for the strikes were also emerged in a short time span, as circumstances developing quickly forced a timely strike on Sarkizya. To ensure safety against any sarkizyian invasion, the KC security committee deemed a strike neccesary. On contrary to the Hearthia statement, the Hearthian government was informed as soon as the strike was proposed and authorised.

The KC has offered mitigations including stationing of a large quantity of Commonwealth ground force on Hearthean border and air force in nearby airfields, but was unfortunately rejected by Hearthia.

Solaria is disappointed that Hearthia has decided to withdraw from the KC. We understand that the national security of Hearthia is at stake. However, what we do not tolerate is the defamation and slander of the Solarian Armed Forces. Four armoured brigades and hundreds of aircraft stood at the ready to defend Hearthia to the death, yet The Government of Hearthia accuses Solaria of abandoning its allies. The words of the Hearthian Government have deeply hurt the feelings of the Solarian people. We respect Hearthia’s decision and we hope to maintain the peace between our nations.
