June 8th, 2209 - The fall of East Hook was as unexpected as it was rapid. The small Zokesian Embassy on the island numbered only 20 diplomats just a year before, but now with war that number had been slashed to just three. They had been advised to leave as soon as the war began, but the hundred or so supporting personnel were still living in the main city on the island.
When Basilian missiles struck the island, the Embassy was unprepared for the attack. The workers sheltered in the building, ran to their homes to protect their families, or perished in errant missile strikes. Their cries for help fell on deaf ears, as they watched the remaining Imperial troops leave with their aircraft as soon as the strike began. Now, with time running out, they made the call to the Zokesian High Command to evacuate.
FF-135 Ashley Renton was patrolling off the coast of Ikonia, northwest of Fish Island, providing freedom of movement patrols when the call came in. She turned north and began running for East Hook at full speed, and began readying her ZH-66 helos for evacuation duty.
