Early yesterday morning, hundreds of Hearthian aircraft took to the skies in the opening sorties of what Hearthian leadership has dubbed "Operation Pesto"
While losses were high, and Hearthian infrastructure was severely damaged, we believe that the result was a tactical victory for the Sarkyzian forces, but a strategic victory for the Hearthians.

While the pilots were all Hearthian forces, many of the craft were donated by other nations aligned with Hearthia to make up for the sudden retreat of Solarian Forces.
The Escorts and SEAD aircraft were able to successfully open a corridor in Sarkyzia's defenses, allowing the Feldspars through to the target area. However the ensuing Furball was costly. All Hearthian craft that entered the ensuing furball were lost. The Dark Brambles put up an exceptionally Valorant fight, taking down a significant portion of the enemy craft. As usual, the Dark brambles are the first to the merge, and the last to fall.

The Feldspars were able to defeat the defenses at their targets and destroy all but three of Sarkyzias Factories and one of their Airfields.

In a bid to destroy the remaining targets, a large portion of the HBO sailed to try to sneak an attack in before Sarkyzian forces could relocate, however they were too slow, and were annihilated off of the Sarkyzian coast by a biblical amount of shore launched ordinance.

Hearthian Defenses were taken by surprise when a fleet of Suborbital, Hypersonic suicide bombers attacked the Arctic Bases and Outer Wilds Manufacturing Facility in the north of Hearthia. The use of such brutal tactics marks a serious escalation in the growing conflict across Kerbin. We dread to see what the coming years will bring.
