Shive has agreed to a five year, $SH12,000,000 (2,000,000) contract with Ratoskal under Novenad, both parties receiving half of the twelve million. The agreement became effective on July 2, 2200, and will, if without delay, end with the fifth ship transported to the Shiven Citadel in 2205.
Under this agreement, Shive shall receive five pieces of naval materiel for both of its fleets; the ceremonial fleet will recieve a 74-gun ship-of-the-line, while Shiven Maritime Command, the effective fleet, will receive decommissioned materiel from the PVC, including a former NKR BB fitted with modern weapon systems. The effective fleet will complement the ordered coastal batteries along Shive's northern coast, repelling any amphibious invasion. This comes about from heightening tensions in the Aontas, with threats from the Kolusian Coalition causing Novenad and other PVC members coming to the Most Serene Republic's aid.
