some really exciting things have been happening since i last posted, so many new questions and honestly most of it’s beyond my understanding. anyways i think it’s best to go through as it happened
so as i said in the other post a scheduling quirk had cashin starting his two weeks two days before mine ended, and he got the boat guy to drop him off at the broken tower. i was a bit worried it might not be stable but he was able to get to the outside and throw the ropes to me. also i received some messages telling me that’s dangerous and don’t worry it’s not we clip ourselves to them so even if we let go we wont fall it’s basically the same method we use to climb up the towers in the first place.

the whole tower leans over so it was very hard to walk around in there but it was completely loaded with old ophirian military stuff. i think that’s because nobody else has been able to get in here since it was abandoned, so nothing was looted.
anyways that’s not really important until i tell you about the weird white noise machine i mentioned in the last post. while i was gone caron was able to provide some translations for us and it turns out the original purposes of this fortress was to spy on phoenian messages, but i have no idea why it only worked when pointed north west and not anywhere else. we found out the machine itself was actually somewhat broken after finding a maintenance menu, and decided to try to fix it by taking apart similar ones in the broken tower.
this is where it gets REALLY exciting
when we set up the machine again we started hearing voices coming from it, but we couldn’t really figure out what they meant. after a while it seems to have caught a video of some kind.
none of us really know what this means. the only clue we have is that the text on the video is in the egercian dialect which is only really spoken in sahr. since we did somehow tune it only to receive from the north west (again we don’t really know how this works) it makes sense that whatever we’re intercepting is from sahrland. but we will still keep trying to figure out what's going on, it’s made this boring job way better !
