H.M. Maximilian I, King of Zokesia, Heir to the Throne of Drekevak, President of Zokesia and General Assembly Leader of the Confederacy of Kolus took the floor in the Confederate State Assembly at Die Volkshalle Nationalversammlung Konföderierten, Ezekialgrad, Zokesia, to address economic issues facing the nations today. Last year at this same summit, the nations of the Confederacy all voted to enact sweeping economic reform, tying their economies even closer together, signaling a shift for the first time in 60 years to a more federated assembly. Many retrocessions of the events were not known at the time, and the global recession had entered its second year as nations across Kerbin faced global financial crisis in the wake of multiple regional conflicts that restricted trade and inflated military budgets worldwide. Coming down from the high of wartime economics, much of the world was now slumping and divesting military equipment like hotcakes. The Confederacy's Big Four - Arcovdonia, K.R.A.T.O.R, Nuvastia, and Zokesia all headed a special council for Economic Recovery and Revitalization Council - ERRC had been working around the clock the past year to put the country back on track. It was time to announce the results of that hard work.
Gentlemen, the past four years have been economically and politically unsteady around the world. For the people of Kerbin, it has meant smaller wages, less money in the wallet, and higher cost of living.
The Economic Recovery and Revitalization Council established by this assembly a year ago set in motion an economic whirlwind of development in these united nations never before seen.
I am pleased to announce, as our nations toil to rebuild, forecasts state growth of four to six percent annually next year and the years to come. The work being done within these walls has put our nations back on track and ever forward into the future of advanced economy and powerful industry.
As I speak, the engines of commerce work overtime in Ezekialgrad, where steel is manufactured for tools, in Zok where consumer goods leave factories at record rates, in Nuvastia where oil and hydrates flow with ever increasing efficiency. Arcovdonian assembly lines produce engines, trucks, trains, automobiles, and airplanes. The deserts to the east are full of trade from Aontas and continue to grow. Our nations united are stronger than ever they have been apart.
Our unity, and strength in One Goal, is powerful, and our enemies are unable to stop the wheels of progress from crushing them as we march ever forward. The Kafricans whine about our influence, but soon they shall see the light that is a Unifed Kafrica - one under Confederate rule. Sarkyzia to our north, hostile as it is to outsiders, has thawed, and the promise of economic gain through mutual cooperation is too sweet a delight for them to deny forever. The Confederacy will expand forever outward, as our shining beacon absorbs all other light around it.
There is but one issue which is plaguing us which must be addressed, here and NOW. the debts to us from foreign empires for their wars of folly have come due, and the toll must be paid for their conflicts. We will be fair but firm with our collection of debts, and I make this promise to you now - we will have our debts paid within the decade, or we will take it from them!
