Following the confirmed resignation of the Prime Minister Clement Arleigh, His Imperial Majesty has mandated that national parliamentary elections be held within six months.
In the interim, Alaric Canning of the United Labour Party has been appointed Prime Minister to ensure continuity of government and the orderly administration of the Union.
The appointment is effective immediately.
The Imperial Palace emphasized that this interim government will focus on economic stabilization, responsible management of the ongoing border situation, and preparation for a free and lawful electoral process across the Imperial Union.
