GOYIRYII -- The Ministry of Defense has announced that three Dorislavian Ground Forces personnel have been relieved of their duties and detained after being caught threatening two Zimori border guards with firearms when they got too close to the boundary between Dorislavian and Zimori territory. The incident has also resulted in a flareup of tensions between Dorislav and the Zimor as the latter also condemns the threats directed at their own personnel on patrol.
The individuals, whose names have been withheld for privacy reasons, were on patrol along with two others, with one being a superior of theirs, when they came across a pair of Zimori military personnel who had apparently gotten too close to the Dorislavian side. The three reportedly became agitated and raised their rifles at the two Zimori individuals, resulting in a tense standoff. The individuals reportedly got into a heated argument and started asking why the Sovies came to Dorislav in the first place. The pair of Zimori personnel responded by pointing out how Sanctum was in a dire state in the 2070s and their ancestors had no choice but to seek refuge somewhere else, or face certain death.
This argument reportedly lasted 10 minutes before the three Dorislavian personnel's corporal, who was in command of their section, intervened and ordered them to cease. Not long after, they would report back to their garrison, where they were subsequently detained by military police after receiving a report about their actions.
The three individuals were questioned about their actions and why they responded in such a harsh, offensive manner to foreign military personnel who didn't mean to get that close to their border.
They are currently detained, awaiting court martial. If found guilty, they could be dishonorably discharged and face time in prison for xenophobic rhetoric and threatening neutral foreign personnel.
