Two Kerbals stand on the tarmac in front of their aircraft. The sun beats down on them as they wait for a bus carrying flight instructors. They both wear a flight patch of which only two have been and will ever be made. One takes a sip from her canteen.
"You excited to finally be able to show off what we've been doing at work?" She asks.
The other Kerbal grins. "No more 'My plane goes to another school in Kanbek you wouldn't know her.' Yeah, I'd say I'm excited. More excited for that bus to show up so we can get inside though. Don't know why they even have us standing out here."
"Probably thought it would look better in photos, natural lighting and all that."
They catch sight of the bus as it rounds a corner, soon enough it's stopped in front of them and a dozen officers are stepping out, followed by photographers, much to their chagrin. The officers form a line in front of them while the photographers dart around taking photographs.
"Welcome to the Krotz Aerospace special testing center. I am Captain Pilshchykov, this is Captain Kravchenko. Behind us is what has been called, for the past three years, the Developmental Airframe Sterling Silver. To you, and all you teach to pilot it, it will be the Kr-217 Narsil. Now lets head inside and get started."
